Circle of Life
My neighbor came over yesterday to let me know that there is a dead deer on our property. His fear is that coyotes will be lured in and then discover his chickens (they have about 50 chickens). He continued to tell me more about the situation but I stopped hearing everything after the words "dead deer". I love living in the country, most of the time, but there are moments where nature and its realities kind of get to me. Deer frolicking across our yard, enchanting. Deer dying on our land and inviting coyotes to dine, disturbing. Of course, that's just me. At our last place a dead deer on our property meant lunch for the neighbor's tiger, here I am not really sure what to do with it. Any suggestions?
