Thanksgiving day - Jenny arrived :) Mom and I got up early to start on the feast. Grandma and the kids made a special vegetarian turkey for me, no one wanted a tofurkey so they made a fruiturkey instead. And yes I did cook an actual turkey for everyone else!! Once dinner was on the way we all made the trek to the airport to pick up Jenny, and this time I didn't get lost (when I picked up my mom we missed the exit and the next exit was 9 miles away - it made for a late night). We had a dance party while I finished cooking, then we ate, and hit the movie theater. We all loved Tangled. We came home, had hot chocolate, and played games.
Friday - :( we had to say good-bye to Grandma. Jenny and I went to the gym where Talia's good friend Mr. Sean (he works at the front desk and adores my little red head) gave Jenny a free pass for the duration of her visit. We worked out for about two hours then came home got the rest of the family and went for a four mile walk/run/bike ride on the tow path even though it was 26 DEGREES OUTSIDE!!!! We came home, showered and then went to downtown Akron for the Christmas tree festival of lights. There were some very unique and creative trees and even a few I would want to put in my home.
Saturday - We hit Historic Kirtland. There were two other families on our tour and both of the fathers were from Sacramento, CA and so was one of the sister missionaries! What are the odds of that??? Saturday night we worked out then went out to Mexican food with some friends of mine. I wanted to introduce Jenny to some delicious vegetarian cuisine....I think she liked it.
Sunday - Today. So far this morning we have had a fingernail painting party where the girls ruined the floor with purple polish, and Jenny has spent sometime investigating whether to attend church with us or to visit the singles branch.....I think she is coming with us.
